My surgery is held on the 4th Saturday of the month 10.45am - 11.45am, Higham Hill Hub (formerly the Bowls Club) Higham Hill Park, Hecham Close, E17 5QT.

There are also surgeries held on:

1st Friday of the month, 6.30pm-8pm at the Whittingham Community Primary School, 340 Higham Hill Road, E17 5QX; (NB - Term time only)

Second Saturday of each month, 12pm - 1pm at
Higham Hill Library, North Countess Road, E17 5HS.

Additional Information


Councillor Strathern has been granted a dispensation from the requirement to disclose any pecuniary or non-pecuniary interest and to withdraw from participation and voting on any business of the authority relating to its functions in respect of decisions about:

(i)            Housing, where the councillor is a tenant of the authority, provided that the decision does not relate particularly to his/her tenancy or lease;

(ii)          School meals and / or school transport and / or travelling expenses, where the councillor is a parent or guardian of a child in full time education, or is a parent governor of a school, unless it relates particularly to the school which the child attends;

(iii)         Statutory sick pay under Part XI of the Social Security Contributions and Benefits Act 1992, where the councillor is in receipt of, or is entitled to the receipt of, such pay;

(iv)         An allowance, pay or indemnity given to members;

(v)          Any ceremonial honour given to members; and

(vi)         Setting council tax or a precept under the Local Government Finance Act 1992.


This dispensation is to last until the Annual Council Meeting in 2018.
