Application to Grant a premises licence under the Gambling Act 2005.

Decision:

The Sub Committee then went on to consider the Application in closed session. It then recalled all parties and announced its decision to GRANT the application by the Applicants for a premises licence.

 

 

Minutes:

 

On 4th March 2014 at 11.45am, the Gambling Act Sub-Committee heard an application made on behalf of William Hill for a Premises Licence under Section 159 of the Gambling Act 2005.  Councillor Naheed Asghar was appointed Chair. 

 

The Applicant was represented by Richard Taylor of Gosschalks Solicitors and Darren Smith, William Hill Development Manager.  The Council as Licensing Authority was represented by Marc Witham. Councillor Peter Barnett and Mr Christopher Rennie (resident)  appeared as  interested parties.

 

There were oral presentations as follows:

  • Richard Taylor of Gosschalks Solicitors for the Applicant;
  • Marc Witham for the Council as Licensing Authority;
  • Councillor Peter Barnett and Mr Christopher Rennie as interested parties

 

The Sub-Committee, the Applicant and the Interested Parties were all able to raise questions after each presentation.

 

The Sub Committee then went on to consider the Application in closed session. It then recalled all parties and announced its decision to GRANT the application by the Applicants for a premises licence.
